Jim Sterling

James Arthur Sterling, 86 yrs, of Busby, AB, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024.
Jim was born October 5,1938, to Fanny and George Sterling, in Westlock, AB.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyne, and his brother, Leonard. He and Evelyne enjoyed 46 years together and shared their combined families of Stephanie (Bob), Kelly (Pat) and Jeff (Lorna).
Jim was predeceased by his son, Edwin, his brothers, Dave, Jack, and Don, his sisters, Carol and Emily, his brother-in-law, Jim Sinclair, and sister-in-law, Marianne Sterling.
Jim spent more than 40 years as a teacher within the area, including Clyde, R.F. Staples Secondary School, and the Alberta Correspondence School in Barrhead. Jim never liked to sit still, and even in his retirement he continued to work as an auctioneer and mail carrier. He was actively involved in the Busby Seniors Association and enjoyed playing cards with his friends on Wednesdays. Jim is known and loved by many in the community for his sense of humor and his willingness to help (or tell you what needed to be done).
As per Jim’s wishes, no service will be held.
