She also leaves 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Conrad McMaster,
his brothers and their wives, Rod (Jessie) and Murray (Jean), her sister,
Isabel (Bob), her parents: Alma and Alfred Parton, her parents in law:
Charles and Lauretta McMaster.
Elsie was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher for
30+ years. Elsie and her husband lived in Manola for 20 years where he
operated a fuel agency and she taught school. They moved to Westlock
where she lived for another 50 years. As our families grew, so did her
love and support grow for each new addition. She lost her beloved
husband in 2011. She was healthy and lived alone on her acreage near
Westlock until October when her health started to fail. We all have fond
memories of special times with her at meals on holidays, camping
trips, fi shing trips, trips to Mexico and Hawaii, ball games, ice cream
cones on hot summer days and popcorn on cold evenings and cinnamon
buns on every occasion. She was an avid reader, a fi erce scrabble player
but we most remember her love for gardening and the countless pails
of raspberries that she picked and shared with us. We will treasure our
memories of her and will try to live up to her legacy.
At her request, there will be no funeral. Donations in her memory can be
made to a charity of ones choice.
