MASKELL, MARY
Mary Maskell of Barrhead, AB passed away on March 30, 2020, at the age of 94 years.
Mary was born in Namaka, AB on July 28, 1925, to Peter and Maria Boschmann. The Boschmann family moved to Blue Ridge when Mary was seven years old. Mary was educated as a teacher and started her career in the Dunstable area. There she met Robert (Bob) Maskell and they were married August 15, 1946.
Mary is survived by her very loving family; children, Barry Maskell (Diane), Len Maskell (Mary Lou), Elaine Anderson (Ian), Donna Zielasko (Dan); grandchildren; Jeff Maskell (Jen), Meg Maskell, Cori Willis (Ed), Lanny Maskell (Kelsey), Spencer Anderson (Norah), Blaine Anderson, Sheena Anderson, Rhonelle Zielasko, Aleah Zielasko; great-grandchildren; Jacey and Reese Willis, Jordan and Brody Anderson; siblings, Henry and Lydia and many other dear relatives and friends and a special little 4-legged friend “Peaches” that always put a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eye.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, Peter (1968) and Maria (1993) of Blue Ridge and her husband, Robert (2010).
The family would like to extend a very sincere thanks to the staff at Shepherd’s Care - Barrhead for the compassionate, loving care that they provided to their mother.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, there will not be a funeral at this time, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial tributes may be made to the Barrhead Healthcare Centre or charity of your choice.
