KOYICH, David (Dave) Michael

David (Dave) Michael Koyich, a man of music, laughter, and kindness, has taken his final bow on the grand stage of life. An autopilot specialist by profession, Dave was a musician through and through. His life was a melody that extended beyond music to his love for his family, cats, and his generous spirit.

Married to his beloved wife, Lori, for 49 years, Dave was a wonderful father to their two boys. His home was always welcoming, filled with laughter, music, and love. Despite being diagnosed with dementia in his later years, he continued to play the music of life with courage and a smile, rarely missing the opportunity to rock out or laugh.

Dave’s final act was as graceful as his life. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and music. His life, a tune that touched many hearts, will continue to play on.

In lieu of flowers, family gifts, or cards, the family requests donations to The Hervey Foundation for Cats in Dave’s name (or charity of your choice). A celebration of Dave’s life will be held later, where attendees can share good company, good food, and their “Dave stories.”

David Michael Koyich (aka Dave; Dad; Papa; Uncle Dave; “The Gypsy”), a loving husband, father, loyal friend, gifted musician, and unforgettable humorist, has left the stage. His melody will continue to play on in the hearts of those who loved him. His was a life well-lived, a song well-sung. Rest in peace, Dave. Your music lives on.
