Kathy Stern of Swan Hills, AB passed away surrounded by her family on January 19, 2020, at the age of 64. Kathy is survived by her spouse of 17 years, Kevin McKort; her daughter, Colette (Troy) Meunier and their children Quinn, Spencer, and Bree; her son, Mike (Adriane) Berube; stepson, Shawn (Jenna) McKort and their children; Reece and Macklin, her loving mother, Sylvia Stern; sisters, Sharon Stern, Joyce (Gary) Comeau, and Corinne Laing. Kathy is predeceased by her father, Donald Stern, husband, Wayne Prefontaine and brother-in-law, John Laing. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, January 24, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Seniors Centre in Barrhead, AB. Donations in memory of Kathy may be made to the Swan Hills Hospital of SPCA.
