Eunice May Godwin
On January 3, 2024, Eunice May Godwin passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years old.
Eunice was born on May 8, 1944. She was raised around the Roydale area where she married Silas (Si) Godwin and farmed until his passing. She later settled in the Meadowview area. She was able to live almost her entire life on a farm. Eunice was known for hand-milking her cows, her love of animals, always wearing a toque (even in summer), her stubbornness and never saying goodbye – she would only say yah or yup. She had a special place in her heart for all the kids she took care of over the years and was Auntie Eunice to many. She loved spoiling them all!
Eunice was loved by and will be remembered by her kids Lemoyne (Susan), Holly (Jerry), Melodie (Wayne), her grandkids Christopher (Amanda), Lincolin (Jessica), David (Shelby), McKinley, Tarquin, Aaron (Trista), Nolan, Nicole, Shay (Maysen), Shaleena, and Shana, and great-grandkids Gauge, Blakely, Claire, Reed, Rebecca, Layne, and Adalynn, her siblings, Larry (Elaine), Colleen (Clint), Danny, Bryan (Eveline), Doug (Pauline), numerous nieces and nephews, and Lindy Porter.
She was predeceased by her husband Silas (1978), parents, Charlie and Ensley Gibbs, her brother, Don and sister, Marjorie.
At Mom’s request there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in support of Breast Cancer.
