QMJHL roundup: Remparts rally from behind to beat Armada 5-3

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Justin Cote had two goals and an assist and the visiting Quebec Remparts erased a 3-1 deficit to post a 5-3 win over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action on Monday night.

Mathias Loiselle scored twice, including an empty-netter, for the Remparts (13-17-1-2). Benjamin Vigneault added a single, while Nathan Quinn chipped in with two assists.

Egor Goriunov scored two power-play goals for the Armada (17-14-2-0), while Zachary Wheeler netted a single, also on the power play.

The Remparts led 1-0 after the first period and the teams were tied 3-3 heading into the third.

The Remparts, who went 3-for-7 on the power play, outshot the Armada 41-36. The Armada went 2-for-8 with the man advantage.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Angelo Fullerton had a goal and two assists, Cam Squires pitched in with two helpers and the Cape Breton Eagles scored four unanswered goals in the second period and skated to an 8-2 win over the visiting Halifax Mooseheads at Centre 200.

Lucas Romeo, Will Murphy, Tomas Lavoie, Luke Patterson, Jacob Newcombe, Alexandre Guy and Cole Burbidge also scored for the Eagles (15-14-3-1), who led 2-1 after the first period and 6-1 heading into the third.

Amelio Santini and Caylen Blake scored for the Mooseheads (11-17-5-0), who were outshot 58-31.

The Eagles went 3-for-3 on the power play, while the Mooseheads were 0-for-3.
