Westlock resumes snow removal after blizzard

Town of Westlock crews are once again hitting the streets to finish regular scheduled snow removal after a sudden blizzard caused them to refocus their efforts in removing drifts across town. Work will begin today and is expected to continue until Thursday.

WESTLOCK – Snow removal efforts will begin again in Westlock today following the sudden snowstorm that derailed previous plans. Jack Frost swooped into Westlock with a blizzard that caused drifts, in some cases several feet high, to crop up across the town and prompting snow removal crews to refocus their efforts. 

Work will begin today, Feb. 1, on: 108th Avenue from 106th Avenue to 106th Street and; 109th Avenue from 110th Street to 102nd Street. 

Tomorrow, Feb. 2, work will continue on: 111st Street from 108th Street to 108th Street; 109th Street from 97th Avenue to 99th Avenue and; 99th Street from 97th Avenue to 100th Avenue. 

Finally, work will conclude on Thursday, Feb. 3 with crews starting on: 101st Avenue from 97th Street to 100th Street; 102nd Avenue from 96th Street to 100th Street and; 94th Street along 97th Street. 

The Town of Westlock is reminding residents to be aware and obey all no-parking signs in their areas.
