While some folks might think Albertans are beef snobs, we’re just people who know good beef and aren’t willing to compromise when it comes to quality. Luckily, this Albertan hot spot shares our passion for good quality local beef, so we know you’re going to love every minute and every bite at Longview Steakhouse.

Tucked away just outside of the city, you’ll find Longview, a village in southern Alberta that’s known for its incredible vibe, gorgeous Rocky Mountain views, and–of course–the Longview Steakhouse and Country Inn. It’s an ideal place to enjoy impeccable service, mouthwatering meals, and a commitment to quality like no other. The Steakhouse has received recognition across the country, landing a spot on the 100 best places to eat in Canada in 2023, coming in at number four in Alberta and number 37 in Canada.

It also took gold in the Western Wheel’s 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards for Favourite Steakhouse, Favourite Restaurant Outside of Okotoks, and silver for Favourite Romantic Restaurant. If you’re still not convinced, a quick Google search will lead you to hundreds of five-star reviews where you’ll find visitors raving about the unforgettable food, specifically the beef, lamb, and duck. What you may also notice is folks saying they waited months for a reservation. While that proves that the secret is out and this place is loved by locals and visitors alike, it also proves that everything good is worth the wait. So, get those reservations now!

You can expect to be treated with a phenomenal atmosphere as you sip cocktails and dine on delicious steak. The views stretching across the Foothills and beyond the Rocky Mountains are the perfect cherry on top of an already top-tier experience.

The restaurant presents an extensive array of regional specialties, catering to various dietary needs, including gluten-free options. Complementing the diverse menu is enticing vegetarian selections, enhancing the overall dining experience.

For those craving meat-based dishes, the restaurant boasts a wide selection, featuring classic pasta favourites such as Bolognaise and Carbonara. Additionally, the menu showcases an assortment of delectable soups and an array of flavourful meat dishes that are the steakhouse’s claim to fame. “We pride ourselves on using the best available ingredients that our great Canadian producers offer,” the restaurant explains. “From our rich and plentiful waters to our fertile lands, it’s our treasured responsibility to carefully and respectfully prepare these ingredients with the same love and attention that nourished them.”

Some of the fan-favourite dishes are the tenderloin, the rib eye, and the seasonal fish dishes like halibut and sea bass, depending on the time of year. The journey to Longview Steakhouse as you know it today began when co-owner, Samir Belmoufid’s parents started the restaurant about 30 years ago. Samir’s brother, Karim, is the chef and the two brothers manage all of the day-to-day operations. While the food is the best of the best, the brothers pride themselves on staying away from the pretentiousness that often comes with elevated dining. It’s all about doing what they love, offering a wholesome experience, and putting their heart and soul into every dish.

If you’re looking for a memorable meal and some of the best steakhouses in the province, look no further.
