INNISFAIL - Highway 2 just north of Innisfail was closed to traffic in both directions Friday afternoon due to a rollover, according to the province's travel advisory service.
Northbound and southbound lanes near Range Road 362 on the highway, also referred to as the Queen Elizabeth II Highway or QEII, are closed due to a tanker rollover, a 4:30 p.m. 511 Alberta advisory said.
"Avoid the area and find an alternate route," the advisory said.
Innisfail RCMP advised that there is a three-vehicle collision at the location.
"Although minor injuries are reported, RCMP are advising that southbound traffic is being redirected while emergency workers clear the scene. One of the involved vehicles is a semi and it will take some time to clear," police said in a 4:48 p.m. Feb. 7 news release.
