Woodlands County crack sealing road maintenance starts July 5

Summer travel plans might see slight delays near Fort Assiniboine and on Woodlands County roads

BARRHEAD - A media release announced that crack sealing repairs on roads with Woodlands County will begin July 5.

Crack sealing repairs involves filling cracks and holes with an adhesive sealant to prevent water, moisture and materials from getting into the payment and causing damage.

Road crews will block off areas of the roads while these repairs are done, reducing speeds for traffic as they move past the maintenance crew while they work.

It is important to stay alert and slow down when passing road maintenance work crews for the safety of the workers, your vehicle and your passengers.

The following roads are identified for the Crack Sealing Program:

• Hamlet of Fort Assiniboine

• Hamlet of Blue Ridge

• West/East Mountain Road

• Woodlands County Municipal Office Parking Lot

• ANC Road

• Old Ferry Road

• Airport Road

• Old Blue Ridge Highway

• Tower Road

• Airport Industrial Park

There is no estimated end date to share at this time.
