Federated Co-op announced on their Facebook site on July 19 that the majority of their inventory supply and delivery system challenges in their grocery operations have been restored and are now working.
“We sincerely thank all Pembina West Co-op members and customers for your patience and understanding during this time.Your support means the world to us,” states Federated Co-op on their Facebook page.
In June the Federated Co-op experienced a cybersecurity situation that impacted grocery inventories.
Store shelves were bare or low on stock with certain items, depending on the store.
Locations were having difficulty submitting orders and getting deliveries.
This situation was initially announced on June 27.
It has been twenty days that co-op stores in Barrhead and Neerlandia have been having this inventory and delivery issue.
When the initial cyber-attacks occurred food stores, hardware, gas stations and cardlocks were affected.
A customer data breach was being investigated but there has been no update.
