The Barrhead Steelers defeated their Tier 1 rivals from Wainwright in a penalty-filled Jan. 5 game. The game saw a fight, two game misconduct penalties (one for each team), multiple sportsmanship conduct penalties, and roughing penalties, among other infractions such as cross-checking, spearing, boarding, and contact to the head. The win puts the Steelers record at two wins versus five losses. The Steelers' next home game is Jan. 11 against the Vegreville Tigers.
