Demolition Derby roars into Barrhead July 27

A highly anticipated event where you can cheer on your favorite vehicle to be crushed, crash everyone else or just survive. It is a barrel of fun watching demolition derby, enjoying the amazing food and drinks, and a celebrity performer at the evening cabaret.

Cars will be smashed for fun as the Barrhead Agricultural Society hosts the Barrhead Demolition Derby July 27, raising the excitement level to overdrive at the Barrhead AG grounds.

“Sounds like an action-packed day! Get your tickets before they are gone.!” Said organizers on the Barrhead Demolition Derby Facebook page.

This sensational event offers a rip-roaring good time for people of all ages.

The fun begins at 12 noon and runs to 8 pm.

Drivers are in-it-to-win-it with derby-themed trophies and bragging rights to those who have the willpower, determination and the vehicle to make it to the finals.

Car and truck entries have been registered and are ready to put on a show.

The adrenaline rush for drivers and spectators alike is worth the price of admission.

Power Hour is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. where you can take pictures and vote for your favourite vehicles.

The derby competition starts at 3 p.m. with engines revving and drivers at the ready.

There are many other activities offered to those who attend from Beer gardens, concessions, fantastic food vendors and bouncy castles for the kids.

To top off a perfect day, watching the crashing metal-ripping hits and watching the last survivors work hard to take the trophy there is a spectacular dance starting at 9:30 pm.

The Saturday night cabaret, Dance in the Dirt, entertainment is top class. Craig Moritz is performing at the Barrhead AG Barn.
