Co-op websites are online after cyber-attack

Barrhead Pembina Hills and Neerlandia Co-op websites are online and functional after a cyber-attack on Federated Co-op in June

Federated Co-op announced on their Facebook site that the websites have been restored and are now online.

“We are pleased to announce that our corporate website, fcl.crs, and all local Co-op websites, are back online. We encourage Co-op customers to visit their local website,” states Federated Co-op on their Facebook page.

“We thank Co-op members, customers and the public for their patience and understanding.”

Federated Co-op experienced a cyber-attack in June which they announced on June 27.

Twenty days have passed until this recent announcement on July 17 that the websites are up and working and access is available.

The websites are up but there is no online shopping currently.

When the initial cyber-attack occurred food stores, hardware stores, gas stations and cardlocks were affected.

A customer data breach was being investigated but there has been no update.
