Members of the Royal Canadian Legion in Barrhead and others salute as the Canadian flag is lowered to half-mast at the Barrhead Memorial Park on Nov. 11. This year's Remembrance Day ceremony was fairly short due to the COVID-19 pandemic; normally, a lengthy ceremony would be held at the Barrhead Elementary School with hundreds in attendance. Even so, there were perhaps 40 to 50 residents in attendance at the brief ceremony.
