For the first time in three years, Barrhead Composite High School (BCHS) graduates had a fully in-person graduation experience with the official grad ceremony taking place on June 28, the banquet and dance taking place two days after on June 30. Both events took place at the Barrhead Agrena.
Valedictorian Karla de Waal was chosen as the Class of 2022 valedictorian. Before de Waal made her valedictorian address, BCHS principal Darcie Eamor spoke about some of de Waal’s achievements, which included earning 94 per cent in Socials Studies 30-1; 97 per cent in Physics 30 and English 30-1; 98 per cent in Math 30-1; 99 per cent in Math 31 and 100 per cent in Chemistry 30.
