BARRHEAD -On Oct. 19 the County of Barrhead hosts an event for everyone to discover the best kept secrets in the area.
The L.I.F.T. (Learn-Inspire-Focus-Thrive) Business Conference is the first of its kind in Barrhead.
“We are excited to see the public attend the trade show portion that is taking place in the middle of the day from 11:00 to 3:00 p.m.,” said Adam Vanderwekken, one of the County of Barrhead organizers.
Featured is a high-calibre trade show for the public where businesses are promoting their services, sharing information, selling high-quality items and craftsmanship products, and even recruiting to fill vacancies in their businesses.
For businesses attending there will be world-class speakers.
Keka DasGupta, a recognized expert in marketing and branding strategies, will be sharing her valuable knowledge that works for businesses of all sizes.
Michelle Cederberg, a published author and award-winning honoured public speaker, will be motivating attendees with an inspiring and rejuvenating focus on success.
A dynamic networking event closes the business conference enabling businesses access to new contacts, potential partnerships and suppliers, and building relationships between businesses in the area.
“We've got Travel Alberta coming to work with our tourism operators,” stated Vanderwekken.
“Invest Alberta is coming as well, and they work with provincial investment attraction to various areas in Alberta.”
With two provincial resources in attendance to support local businesses, there is sure to be a wealth of information shared.
When the conference was announced in August Town of Barrhead Mayor Dave MacKenzie said, “This event is a fantastic opportunity for our businesses to gain valuable training and to network with other enterprise and support agencies on site.”
