The payoff for a whole lot of work was realized Saturday, June 16, in Grassland as the former Premier of Alberta Ed Stelmach and wife Marie travelled to the hamlet that day, stopping at the ESSO restaurant for coffee and a bite with organizers of the Grassland, Atmore and Prosvita Ukrainian Supper Fundraiser May 28 that saw the community unite to collect $40,179.50 for the Ed Stelmach Community Foundation which will use the funds to support Ukrainians fleeing war in their home country and abroad.
