Village of Boyle councillors will meet in the Boyle Municipal Centre July 17 at 7 p.m. for the last of their regular meetings this month

BOYLE — Village of Boyle councillors have one community project delegation, a list of changes to the fees and charges bylaw, and three closed session items on their plates for the final of their regular July meetings on Wednesday (July 17).

Chair of the Greater Athabasca Community Foundation (GACF) Lindsey Stanton will kick the meeting off with a delegation to councillors about potential land for the organizations Play Park project.

After hearing from Stanton, councillors will have an opportunity to review suggested amendments to the fees and charges bylaw. Administration had proposed eight changes to the bylaw, including the addition of a $500 charge for a non-statutory bylaw draft/amendment, which would apply to requests like lot consolidation bylaws.

Councillors will wrap their July discussions up with three items seen in closed session. First up is an administrative planning item, followed by two intergovernmental items.  As per the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act, information with the potential to harm relationships between local municipalities and with the Alberta government, is covered.

Council meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the Village of Boyle Municipal Centre, and the agenda page for the meeting can be found here
