GALLERY: Kids Wrap 2024 at Athabasca Native Friendship Centre

From tables laden with gifts, to hotdogs and carrot cake, and a special holiday guest, the 2024 Kids Wrap had no shortage of fun for the whole family

ATHABASCA — On Saturday, Nov. 23, kids and families with a range of different backgrounds braved the cold to visit an annual Christmas tradition in town. The doors of the Athabasca Native Friendship Centre were open — as always — to any young Athabascans in need of presents to put under the tree for family members.

The Kids Wrap event is one the centre holds every year. GIfts, either donated or purchased with grant funding, are spread over tables in the basement, arranged by age category for the best shopping experience. After selecting enough gifts for their siblings, parents, grandparents, and others, attendees were able to enjoy a lunch courtesy of the centre's staff, and had the chance to meet the jolly guy in red and whisper their Christmas wishes in his ear.
