Athabasca RCMP are looking for this man after a woman reported he attempted to rob her outside the Colinton Hotel May 25.

ATHABASCA – The Athabasca RCMP are hoping the public can help identify a would-be armed robber.

According to a June 6 release, just after midnight on May 25 the male suspect wielding a knife approached a woman in the area of the Colinton Hotel, in the hamlet of Colinton. After telling the woman to give him her stuff, the victim deployed a self-defence spray, and was able to run to her car and leave the area.

The suspect is described as:

  • Pale-Medium complexion;
  • Approx. 6 feet tall;
  • Approx. 190lbs;
  • Late 30s, early 40s;
  • Short brown wavy hair;
  • Dark facial hair; and
  • Last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
