The Athabasca United Church celebrated its 100th year last weekend with three days of fun activities. On Saturday, sod was turned for a new centennial garden. Christine Theil (left) from the Athabasca Garden Club helps with the turning of the sod. Bessie Speers is the oldest member of the Church, and she was more than willing to help with the ceremony; student minister Monica Rosborough looks on.
