Town officials and members of the public gathered at the confluence of the Athabasca and Tawatinaw rivers June 22 to unveil a new sign to commemorate the importance of the Athabasca Landing Trail to the development of northern Alberta in the late 19th Century. The small gathering, complete with coffee and cookies, enjoyed a pretty decent view for the unveiling.
