Now’s the time to bid on southern Alberta amalgamation history.

The Town of Diamond Valley is auctioning off roadside Black Diamond and Turner Valley signs that were removed after the two towns merged to become Diamond Valley in 2023.

Three Turner Valley signs are listed for sale, along with a Black Diamond sign that was in front of the Town's municipal office.

The letters from another sign that reads “Welcome to Black Diamond” are also up for grabs.

The auction is at govdeals.com and starting bids for the signs range from $40 to $150.

Bidding closes on Feb. 11.

Four entrance signs that bear the community's new name were installed earlier this month.
