EDMONTON — Ed Hervey is returning to a front-office position with the Edmonton Elks.
The CFL team says he's the new vice-president of football operations and general manager.
Hervey was GM of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season.
The Elks plan to hold a news conference in the morning with Hervey and team president Chris Morris.
Chris Jones started the 2024 season as GM but he was fired after an 0-5 start. Geroy Simon succeeded him as interim GM.
Hervey spent eight years as a player with Edmonton. He was GM of the team from 2013-16, helping it win a Grey Cup in 2015, and also spent two seasons as GM of the B.C. Lions.
