The Town of Crossfield is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the owner of a dog which allegedly attacked a person in the community.
According to the Town's Facebook page the attack took place on Jan. 8 in the dog park on Western Drive.
"Crossfield's Municipal Enforcement Department is seeking public assistance in identifying the person in the care of two mid-sized dogs (one white in colour and one black in colour), one of which was involved in a dog attack toward a member of the public," the Facebook post reads. "The incident occurred on Wed., Jan. 8 at approximately 1:15 p.m. at the Town’s dog park on Western Drive."
Local officials' special emphasis in this case is placed upon identifying the vaccination history of the animals to assist the victim with possible further medical attention that may be required.
"We request the dog's owner, or any witnesses of the incident, please come forward by contacting Municipal Enforcement at 403-312-7115 or peaceofficer@crossfieldalberta.com."
