Accident shuts down Highway 93 S in Kootenay National Park

KOOTENAY NATIONAL PARK – Highway 93 South in Kootenay National Park is closed in both directions following an early morning accident involving semi-trailers on Monday (Dec. 23).

According to DriveBC, the incident occurred at Kootenay Crossing Warden Station, about 42 kilometres north of Radium Hot Springs.

Police are redirecting vehicles via Highway 95 through Golden.

“Assessment in progress," states Drive BC on its website.

Emergency services are on scene.
