Hi, I am Rixon, and I'm fixin' to find myself a forever home. (Who knew I could be good at rhyming?)! I am a three-year-old shepherd cross, 60 pounds and 25 inches at the shoulder. My thick tan coat is dusted with black throughout. Everyone says I am handsome — I don't know what that means, but it makes my heart flutter a bit! I am currently living in suburbia. There are so many smells, sights, sounds, and my brain is in overdrive. I am eager to explore, but it can also be a bit overwhelming when you are not used to it. I do like having a spot. I sleep in a crate at night, and I have taken up residence in a cozy spot at my foster home next to the kitchen table. Whenever you walk by, my tail is just a thumpin'! I don't venture much out of the kitchen yet — foster mom says I am welcome to explore and, with time, that may change, but I feel most comfortable in that one room for now. I enjoy going for walks and checking things out outside, but I am always eager to get back inside as I do enjoy the perks that come with indoor living. I don't bark much, so please don't expect me to be a guard dog as it's not in my nature. I am very interested in vehicles and stop, look at each one, and, sometimes, back away, especially from the noisy ones. Another interesting fact about me — I am not a fan of the squeak in squeaky toys. So, if you are to be my forever family, I would like to start with some squeakless toys. I am friendly with people, and I am happy to take pats or belly rubs when you come by, but I don't ask for extra attention. If you have a forever home that includes a choice of indoor spots I can call my own, you have a social, confident female dog, any kids are over 12, you are looking for a handsome, somewhat shy guy, and you will give me the time it takes for me to warm up and discover new things, please let Scars know that you are fixin' to give Rixon his forever home.
